The Proform Crosswalk 425 is a great entry level Proform treadmill that comes with their patented upper body exercise bar. This feature isn’t the only thing that sets the Crosswalk 425 apart from comparably priced competition.

First of all, with the addition of the upper body exercise bar, the Proform Crosswalk 425 can give you a full body workout that a traditional treadmill just cannot. This treadmill, however, won’t stand up to heavy workouts. The Proform Crosswalk 425 is entry level and not for serious runners. For those who do prefer light workouts, the 425’s drive motor, deck, and other components should be sufficient. The motor comes with up to 10 mph speed and the deck has a 10% incline.

Additionally, the Proform Crosswalk 425 also comes with a 17” x 50” tread belt, which is a good size for this price point. The deck also boasts an impact reducing cushion called ProSoft Plus which softens the impact of your workouts and protects your sensitive joints up to 22% when compared to road running.

The Proform Crosswalk 425 also has a premium, easy to read console that displays your speed, time, distance, and calories burned throughout your workout. Another feature of the 425 that helps you to keep track of your your exercise progress is an EKG heart rate monitor.

To enhance your workouts, the Proform Crosswalk 425 features the patented upper body exercise bar. This bar encourages you to use your upper arms while you workout so you burn more calories and get a full body workout. The 425 also comes with two preloaded CrossWalk workouts which feature the upper body exercise bar. By utilizing the upper body features of the 425, you’ll be able to sculpt your arms, shoulders, and back as well as workout your legs and get a great cardio workout.

On top of all of these great features, the Proform Crosswalk 425 comes with a 3 year warranty on their motor. However, there’s only a 90 day warranty on parts and labor which doesn’t give us much confidence in the components used in this model other than the motor. The 425 is a great value for the price, however be wary of the overall quality and reliability of this treadmill, particularly if you plan on heavy, regular use. This machine is one of the best low priced treadmills available, but if you’re a serious runner you would be better served by a higher priced model made with high quality, more reliable parts. The Proform Crosswalk 425 also doesn’t include features like iFit compatibility and/or an MP3 player dock, which are more and more being included on other lower priced machines.
