Manufactured by fitness giant Icon, the NordicTrack CX 938 elliptical trainer is a valid option if you’re on a limited budget and plan to use the machine several times per week. The CX 938 elliptical trainer has a number of particularly appealing features when stacked up against similarly priced competition. The CX 938 is usually priced around $499-$599 and comes with an 18” stride length and iFit compatibility, for example.

The CX 938 is the entry level model of the NordicTrack line. Within the low price range, the CX 938 is a well-built, reliable machine that boasts many premium features. In fact, the CX 938 is the most popular of NordicTrack’s elliptical trainers.

For individuals who plan to use the machine 3-5 times per week for light to moderate workouts, the CX 938 is a fine choice. The 938 comes with 10 preloaded workout programs and is iFit compatible, so you can add lots of variation to your exercise routine. To further enhance your workouts, the CX 938 has a bright LCD display that allows effortless control over your training session. From the display, you can monitor such things as carbs burned and your pulse. The CX 938 also allows you to choose from various “training zones” to get the most personalized workout possible, with zone options for warm up/cool down, aerobic, endurance, or performance. The training zone feature is one of the best on the NordicTrack CX 938, particularly when the machine doesn’t provide anything for an upper body workout other than the actual upper body arms.

In addition to the previously mentioned features, the CX 938 comes with an 18” maximum stride with “Stride Select” adjustable stride.
