NordicTrack CX 925 Nordic Track fitness equipment often speaks for itself. This article reviews and compares the Nordictrack CX 925 elliptical trainer. Keep reading for information, pros and cons, features, and warranties offered by NordicTrack on the CX 925 elliptical machines. A lot of companies with huge brand name recognition sometimes let quality slide since consumers are still likely to buy their products based on label alone. This doesn’t seem to be the case for fitness powerhouse NordicTrack. Offering a great amount of the best features at affordable prices, plus a brand recognition that’s hard to beat, this company’s ellipticals are solid for their prices, surpassing others in their class. So it is, too, for the Nordictrack CX 925 elliptical trainer. The NordicTrack CX 925 elliptical is one of the most effective and sturdy machines in its class. If you’re seriously about getting in shape at home, the CX 925 is a good machine to consider. Like most Nordic track machines, it provides a decent workout at a moderate price. The main pet peeve of reviewers is that the Nordictrack CX 925 Elliptical was not run on 110v power (it can't be plugged into a regular wall outlet), but operates on 4 D batteries. Reviewers worried about the quality of construction, and a few had major issues early on with their trials of the Nordictrack CX 925 elliptical. The CX 925 comes with a very nice array of features, including some of the company’s top trademarked technological improvements. When considering all of these features, the CX 925 is a great buy. What makes this elliptical shine even more are the number of options and the quality of manufacturing that come at a very reasonable price. The NordicTrack CX 925 comes with a snazzy two-window LCD display that gives buyers of the CX 925 elliptical real-time statistics about their exercise program. These real-time statistics help the user to stay motivated during a workout. The eight pre-loaded workouts also help with motivation as they keep exercise sessions fresh as a trainee advances in level. Additionally, the CX 925 offers some of the best user control options available. There are ten quick change resistance buttons that enable the person training to step up the difficulty level of their workout at the touch of a button. By changing the intensity quickly, without having to stop a workout, the user can control their exercise routine better, and allow them maximum results with maximum comfort and ease of use. With this machine you also have access to iFit technology as an optional extra. This means that you can virtually have a personal trainer in your home if you choose to make use of this compatibility function. You can use the available programs to concentrate on aerobic training, weight loss, or performance goals. Two workouts target your heart rate. The CX925 has an 18 inch stride which is within the recommended range for ideal stride lengths. The elliptical movements mimic the natural motion of walking without putting any stress on your joints and bones because your feet never leave the pedals, but just glide along the elliptical path. The upper arm levers work in synchronized fashion as you move the pedals providing you with a total body and cardiovascular workout. The CX 925 also comes with pulse sensors and an upper body workout fan to keep you cool during your entire routine. On the downside, the NordicTrack CX 925 has some reliability issues as well as a meager warranty. The CX 925 is still quiet and comfortable, however, and can often be found at prices well under $1,000. Even the cheapest models of Nordic Track ellipticals come packed with more than enough features to keep you busy. The disadvantage to these inexpensive models though is that they are not as durable as the pricier models. For its cheaper ellipticals, Nordic Track uses cheap parts, and we have heard a number of complaints regarding trouble getting the parts replaced. This machine also comes with SMR (Silent Magnetic Resistance), rather than the smoother Eddy Current, which is a major drawback but not uncommon in this price range. At this time, the CX 925 has been replaced by the NordicTrack CX 938. The machines are very similar. The CX 938 is essentially the same machine with a few key updates, like two additional preloaded workouts. Recommended: Discontinued. See our review of the NordicTrack CX 938.
