Proform 720 Treadmill Review Are you shopping for a budget treadmill? Look no farther, this article is an inbiased review of the Proform 720 treadmill, offering pros and cons of this entry level treadmill. See how this Proform space saver treadmill compares to other Proform Fitness equipment. The Proform 720 treadmill is a great way for the consumer with an average budget to get a great machine for working out at home. The superior quality design delivers the benefits and advantages of club and gym models with the convenience of being at home. An innovation in exercise machines, the Proform 720 treadmill includes features typically found only in models that are much more expensive. One of the best things about the Proform 720 is that it is very user friendly. This model is designed to provide maximum workout performance as it is powered by a durable 2.5 HP motor that can withstand even the most rigorous of exercise regimens. The truly dedicated user will not have to be concerned about lagging performance when engaging in his or her routine and using the electronic features of this treadmill. The Proform 720 features eight individual workout routines that are already pre-programmed. The availability of pre-loaded workouts lets the user get started right away towards achieving his or her specific health and fitness goals. These workouts are like having personal motivation literally built into the treadmill itself and take out the guesswork regarding whether or not you’re doing it “right”. In addition to the pre-programmed workouts, the Proform 720 is iFit compatible. This capacity allows users to download exclusive workout routines directly from a personal computer by connecting to the Internet. These advanced programs are designed for specific purposes by professional trainers to assure maximum effectiveness and really allow you to vary you workout so you don’t get bored. The 720 also features several of Proform’s exclusive offerings in health and fitness technologies, including QuickIncline™ and QuickSpeed™, which allow the treadmill user to immediately adjust incline percentage and speed to their personal workout preferences. The speed range of the 720 treadmill model is 0-10 MPH and an incline percentage rate of 0-10%. Both of these features will help you to step up your workouts and get the most out of your time spent exercising. ProShox™ Cushioning is another of the premium features of the Proform 720 design. This exclusive patented cushioning system ensures the protection of the treadmill user’s knees and joints from impact injury, which is often a direct result from walking or running on outdoor surfaces such as asphalt. The Proform 720 treadmill is one of Proform's best treadmills in terms of cushioning. However, just like most of their machines, it is made from cheap parts so there are often problems with this machine in the long term. This treadmill is a great example of optimum design in home treadmills. Like previously mentioned, the 720 is very user-friendly. The best example of this is the console which features a 4-window LCD user feedback display. This console shows user statistics such as speed, distance, time and calories burned. This best value treadmill also includes a grip pulse sensor for monitoring heart rate and has the option for a chest pulse sensor as well. This model would fit those who love to walk or jog and is best for beginners. Serious runners would be better served by more expensive machine made with better quality parts. This treadmill does come with a very capable motor, however, due to its lack of quality, we don’t recommend you maximize this machine's capabilities. EKG™ Grip Pulse System (Chest Pulse Optional) lets you keep track of your heart rate. This enables you to workout in your target heart rate zone for a more efficient exercise. Again, this treadmill’s biggest fallback is its quality. It is made from cheap parts and comes with short warranties, so putting aside some money for future repairs is a must. Recommended: Yes, but only for beginners who plan light walking and/or jogging. Key Features and Specs:
