Proform 350 Treadmill Review The Proform 350 treadmill is one of the cheapest treadmills in the Proform line, usually selling below $400, but for its price it performs well. This article offers an unbiased Proform 350 treadmill review complete with key features, specifications, and pros and cons. There are two main reasons why the 350 is a good buy for a low-priced treadmill: it comes with a powerful 2.25 total horse power motor that allows speeds up to 10 miles per hour and the deck of the 350 has an impact absorption system that delivers a great balance of comfort and joint protection. These are two features that you don’t normally see on a budget treadmill. In addition to the previously mentioned features, the Proform 350 comes with “QuickSpeed” control. With QuickSpeed you can easily increase or decrease your speed at the touch of a button. This feature helps you to have a more effective workout as you can practice interval training by upping your speed to challenge yourself for a few minutes, then decrease your speed to recover for a few minutes. Exercising this way has been shown to get results faster. The Proform 350 also features Power Incline control that works hand-in-hand with QuickSpeed as it allows you to electronically change the degree of slope up or down throughout your workout right from the user-friendly console. By using the Power Incline, you will simulate running uphill which will add both challenge and variety to your exercise sessions. As previously mentioned, the Proform 350 comes with impact absorption which, according to Proform, reduces impact on your joints by up to 15% as compared to running on a road. To add to your workout comfort, the 350 also features a thumb pulse sensor grip that allows you to precisely monitor your heart rate so you can stay within your optimum training zone. From the Proform 350 console, you can track your calories burned using the “MyCalories” personal calorie center. This program lets you input your weight to more accurately calculate the calories you are burning. The console also displays the time you’ve spent working out as well as the distance you’ve traveled in miles. The Proform 350 is also equipped with a fan to keep you cool even during the most vigorous workout. One big plus of the Proform 350 is that it is a very lightweight treadmill that folds up and has wheels for easy moving and storage. This is a wonderful feature if you are worried about space concerns in your home or just don’t want to have your treadmill out taking up space when it is not in use. On the downside, the Proform 350 comes with a mediocre warranty of 3 years on the motor and 90 days on parts and labor. Unfortunately, this limited warranty is fairly standard in this price range. Another drawback to the Proform 350 is that it doesn’t come with any preloaded workout programs, so you’ll always be on your own to meet your workout goals, or iFit compatibility, so the variety with this machine is somewhat limited, unless you have the discipline to consistently come up with new workouts for yourself and to manually adjust the speed and incline as needed. The treadbelt on the Proform 350 is of decent size at 17 X 50 for an average sized individual, but the size of the belt is something to keep in mind if you are a taller individual and would like to run or jog on this treadmill.
